What You Can Expect

Hi, my name is Boyd Varty.  I am a Lion Tracker, a published author and a life guide.  Over the next 8 modules, completed at your own pace, I will share with you how living in the wild of South Africa with some of the best animal trackers in the world taught me how to “track my life.”

I will share with you the ancient skills, mentality and approach of the tracker and then how we can apply those to finding what we are looking for in our own lives.

Creating a new future is about becoming aware of where we place our attention and how this starts to direct where our life goes.  Waking up to this is how we become trackers of the life that is calling to us.
No one can tell you what your track will be or how to know what calls you and brings you to life.  That’s your work to do.  But a great tracker can ask: How do you know you love something?
The journey of transformation is the journey of first tracks. Ask yourself what do you need right now? And don’t jump to ‘but then what?’ Give yourself the luxury of answering that question with the most basic and immediate desire.
Losing the track is a natural part of life: Accept that losing the track is part of tracking. Go back to the last clear track. There is information there.
It is natural to face various forms of resistance when you set out on a trail. External obstacles might unexpectedly disrupt your course. Internal barriers to transformation such as fear and self-doubt will inevitably accompany you.
Have you ever considered that your healing as an individual is a vital contribution to the world? The implications are profound; taking time to slow down, tune in and align with the wild self is, in fact, a selfless act.
The restoration of the planet begins in people, the restoration of the planet begins in you.
We must live on that trail, propelled forward by a set of clues only you will recognize by the aliveness they bring out in you. You must teach yourself to see your track.

Course Instructor: Boyd Varty

Boyd has a psychology degree from the University of South Africa. He is a certified Master Life Coach, the author of two books and a TED speaker.

Since childhood, Boyd shared his home with lions, leopards, snakes, and elephants and has spent his life in apprenticeship to the wisdom of nature.  Boyd grew up speaking the local language and learning the true meaning of coexistence between people and with nature.

Boyd has spent the last decade refining the art of using wilderness as a place for deep introspection and personal transformation. While generating his own system of coaching called “Track Your Life” which draws lessons from the ancient art form of tracking to help people find more meaning, purpose and motivation.  At the core of his work is the impulse of life towards healing, wholeness and wildness.

Having taught his philosophy of “Tracking your Life” to companies and individuals all over the world he has been featured in the New York Times, Forbes, NBC, The Telegraph, NPR and a host of leading podcasts.

This course is for anyone who is interested in personal growth finding more meaning and purpose in your life and really getting to know your most authentic self.  This course is great for people who feels stuck or anyone who is in a big life transition their life.  It can help with guiding you through changes in both your personal life, relationships, teams and you career.  If you feel called to a new path and want to find more meaning and discover your mission and purpose in life this course will begin to help you develop the tools of inner awareness that will help you find what you are looking for.  If you simply feel stuck this is a great place to get back in touch with the tracker inside of you.

The only prerequisite for this course is curiosity and that you want to do it. All tracking begins with wanting to track.

Its important that you move at your own pace and use each exercise to go as deep as you can. Think of this course as a meditative process. You should approach it with presence and curiosity to see what it reveals. You can complete it all in one sitting, however it is recommended that you space intervals between each module to give yourself time to reflect and be in the process.
Each module takes anywhere between 45 - 60 minutes to complete. There are a total of 8 modules in the course.  You can complete the course at your own pace or revisit it weekly.
  1. To access the course you will need to start by clicking on the image below or on the Begin Tracking button at the bottom of the page.  This will take you to a an enrollment.
  2.  Click on Take this Course
  3. A payment portal will pop-up.  Enter your email address and credit card details.  Your email address will be used to create your profile.
  4. Check your email to receive your password.  Follow the instructions to reset password with your own choice.
  5. Once your password has been successfully reset, click on Return to Login where you will be redirected to your Profile page to Login.

  6. Use your email address and new password to login to the course when you start and whenever you wish to complete parts of the course.
  7. Once logged in you will be redirected to your Profile page.
  8. Click on Track Your Life Online Retreat and then Begin Course when you are taken to the course Home Page.
    To find an individual module or track each time you return to the course, click on Expand All to dropdown the tracks.
    Your progress for each module is shown by the green circle on the left of each Module.
  9. When you have completed a track, click on the Mark as Completed button to keep track in the progress bar. You can leave and return to the course by logging in at any stage.
  10. As you have complete the course you will have the opportunity to send your journaling activities to your email inbox.
